Surprising facts about birds

 Hello everyone,

I hope you enjoyed my last post. Today, I would like to share some interesting facts about Swallow birds. We all know that some birds migrate during winter and Swallow birds belong to that category of migrating birds. But there is something special about these birds. Swallow birds build their nests at a mission that is located in San Juan, Capistrano.

The interesting fact is that these birds always leave their nests exactly  on October 23 of every year and always return to their nests exactly on March 19!  It seems that they fly as far as South America where it is warmer than California in the winter. After winter, the Swallow birds come back to the mission. Swallow birds were doing this kind of migration for the past hundreds of years.

I think the reason they do this is because they are really intelligent and one Swallow bird went to South America and it somehow found out how long it took. Then maybe it told all the other birds. If that is true, they start exactly those many days before March 19 and arrive exactly on March 19. Do you think that is true? If you think that is not true and think there is some other way, put it in the comment.
